Dallas Borough Zoning Hearing Appeal #5-2014, The North Slope Brewing Co., regarding the property located at 2447 State Road Highway 309 in Dallas Borough, PA 18612, appealing the determination of the Zoning Officer under Article 10, section 5 (e) of the Dallas Borough Zoning Ordinance due to the denial of a Zoning Permit Application submitted by The North Slope Brewing Co., to operate a Brew Pub under the principal permitted use of a Tavern/Bar in the B-2 Highway Business District.

The Dallas Borough Zoning Hearing Appeals Board will meet on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dallas Borough Council Chambers at 25 Main Street, Dallas, PA 18612. The purpose of the meeting is to hear the following application:

Dallas Borough Zoning Hearing Appeal#4-2014, AutoZone Development Corporation, regarding vacant parcel(s) with Luzerne County Property Identifitcation Numbers of E8NE1 001 006 and E8NE1 001 06A being property located on Memorial Highway (SR 309) between Dallas Shopping Center and First Keystone Community Bank in Dallas Borough, PA 18612, requesting variance from the following Zoning Ordinance provision(s) to locate a proposed AutoZone Retail Auto Parts Store in the B-2 Highway Business District:
  • Article 5, 508.6e Variance to allow a 7 foot 7 inch rear yard setback where a 30 foot rear yard setback is required.
  • Article 8, 801.6.k.10 Variance to allow off street loading/unloading space to be located within the required building setback or yard area, and/or buffer yard area as submitted.
  • Article 8, 801.6.e Variance to accept ingress/egress to all parking and loading area as submitted.

The Dallas Borough Zoning Hearing Appeals Board will meet on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. in the Dallas Borough Council Chambers at 25 Main Street, Dallas, PA 18612.  The purpose of the meeting is to hear the following application:

 

Dallas Borough Zoning Hearing # 6-2014, by Jeffrey Nutche  regarding property located at 107 Pinecrest Avenue, further identified with Luzerne County Property Identification Number E8NW1 005 023, in Dallas Borough, PA  18612, requesting Variance from the following Zoning Ordinance provision(s) to allow the conversion of an existing detached garage into a primary residential structure in the R-2 Single- and Two-Family Residential District:

·       Article 5, 502.e – requesting a variance of 22.8 feet to allow for a rear yard setback of 7.2 feet where a minimum rear yard of 30 feet is required.

·       Article 8, 802.3 – requesting a variance of 29 square feet to allow for a residential habitable floor area of 626 square feet for a one-bedroom unit where a minimum of 655 square feet is required.
