The Dallas Borough Police Department would like to remind residents of Pennsylvania laws and important safety concerns regarding the increasing use of electric bikes and electric scooters.
Under Pennsylvania law, e-bike riders must be at least 16 years of age, and e-scooters are not permitted on public roads or sidewalks. E-Scooters can only be operated in the State of Pennsylvania on private property.
We want our community to stay safe and informed by understanding Pennsylvania’s laws regarding where these devices may be operated, licensing requirements, and safety expectations.
